The VX Cruiser is powered by Yamaha's three-cylinder, 1049cc TR-1 High Output four-stroke marine engine, providing high power output with low fuel consumption and low exhaust emissions. Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI) delivers a smooth, efficient, and high-power output. The specially designed, one-piece cylinder and crankcase assembly ensure tremendous engine rigidity while being lighter and stiffer than two-piece designs. The slant detection switch automatically stops the engine and oil pumps if the watercraft overturns, preventing water ingestion. Dry sump lubrication uses two oil pumps to lubricate all moving parts efficiently. The engine management system integrates ignition timing, fuel injection mapping, diagnostics, and more for optimal performance. A thermostatic and pressure-controlled cooling system maintains water flow through the engine via a thermostat and pressure system. The corrosion protection system uses sacrificial zinc anodes and stainless steel fasteners for enhanced durability. Electronically controlled, variable ignition timing ensures precise ignition control at all throttle positions and RPMs.
