Features

Delivering 73.4 PS at 8,750 rpm, the R7's 689cc engine produces punchy acceleration and smooth, linear torque. Its 270° crank delivers a responsive feel with a signature CP2 growl, while Yamaha Chip Controlled Throttle (YCC-T) ensures precise power delivery for con dent control with every twist of the wrist, on road or track.

For the rst time, the R7 features Yamaha's R1-derived 6-axis IMU. Race grade technology that brings true Supersport intelligence to the middleweight class. Constantly measuring movements and lean angles, it powers the R7's advanced electronic rider aids, delivering precision, con dence and control in every corner.

Yamaha Ride Control (YRC) lets riders tailor the R7’s character to suit their mood or the moment. Three factory modes - Sport, Street and Rain - are complemented by a fully customisable setup via the MyRide app, allowing riders to ne-tune power delivery and electronic support.

Working seamlessly with the R7's R1 derived 6-axis IMU, the lean-sensitive Traction Control, Slide Control and Brake Control systems continuously monitor movement and grip. Each system intervenes subtly and predictably, enhancing stability and allowing riders to push their limit with total con dence on road or track.

Almost every element of the new R7's frame has been re ned, from pipe layout and wall thickness to reinforcement points to improve rigidity while maintaining the same weight. Its 41mm fully adjustable inverted forks now feature lightweight aluminium piston rods to reduce weight for a sharper response and precise, agile handling.

Revised ergonomics make the new R7 easier to live with every day. Re-positioned handlebars and a reshaped fuel tank give you more room to move, while a lower 830mm seat height and R1-style footpegs help you feel planted yet relaxed — whether you're commuting, carving corners or cruising home after a long ride.
