The YZ450FX's thrilling liquid-cooled DOHC four-stroke engine is designed to provide broad power character and ease-of-use with ECU settings tailored to enhance both low-end tractability and top-end power.
The newly updated advanced aluminum bilateral beam frame with YZ450FX-specific engine mounts provides just the right amount of strength and flex for the perfect balance of straight-line stability and cornering performance. The result is a better handling machine with lighter feel more agility and increased traction allowing the rider to tackle tight technical courses with greater confidence.
The new YZ450FX adopts the YZ450F's hydraulic clutch with a 15% reduced lever pull for reduced fatigue over longer rides.
World renowned suspension performance straight out of the box. High-spec fully adjustable Speed Sensitive System KYB coil spring-type fork provides exceptional bump absorption and features toolless compression clickers for easy adjustment and fork covers to help prevent debris damage. The linkage-type rear suspension features a KYB shock with cross-country focused damping characteristics to match the YZ450FX's refined chassis.
A new air filter assembly with the same outer resonator as the YZ450F reduces overall noise for more comfortable riding.
Like having factory team support in your pocket Yamaha's Power Tuner App is even more user-friendly with an intuitive “Simple Tuning” slide bar for quick engine mapping selections new four-level Traction Control a lap timer and helpful engine and suspension tuning guides. Best of all it's free-of-charge.
The YZ450FX's slim flat compact body eases rider movement for improved control including seamless rounded features from seat edges and side covers to the narrow fuel tank and front shroud. The rider triangle is also designed to provide increased legroom between the seat and foot pegs for enhanced rider comfort.
Additional features include a PVC handlebar pad rugged plastic skidplate seamless seat cover switchgear and a folding aluminium kickstand.
