All DXR/CXR mk3 loudspeakers are equipped with Yamaha’s own high-durability, custom LF/HF speaker units. The LF unit ensures highly symmetrical front-rear movement for linear bass reproduction, while the HF unit features a polyimide diaphragm that eliminates audible distortion while providing exceptional durability—thus achieving both superior acoustic performance and outstanding reliability.

The large-diameter horn secures directivity control across a wide frequency range. Optimised port positioning also reduces standing wave effects, resulting in smoother and more accurate low-frequency response.

Utilising a lightweight, high-strength, form-injection moulded enclosure, the design achieves both weight reduction and attenuation of cabinet resonance that can result in bass loss. The ergonomically designed enclosure offers not only aesthetic appeal but also outstanding usability.

An LCD panel is mounted on the rear, allowing for fast and easy control of parameters such as preset loading, precise PEQ adjustments, delay, and routing. Up to eight user presets can be stored, and factory presets optimised for combined use with the DXS mk3 series can also be recalled.

Featuring a 96 kHz internal DSP processor, the DXR mk3 series delivers high output performance and high-resolution sound quality with low latency. The crossover network employs Yamaha’s proprietary “Advanced FIR-X Tuning” technology, combining linear-phase FIR filters for network and correction EQ, achieving exceptionally smooth phase characteristics and clear, distortion-free sound.

DXR mk3 Series loudspeakers are equipped with a highly efficient 2000 W Class-D high-power amplifier, as well as a newly designed high-efficiency switching power supply that ensures smooth and stable operation.

The DXR mk3 offers DSP modes tailored for specific configurations or applications

Equipped with a powerful, intelligent feedback suppressor, the system automatically suppresses feedback in real time for handheld microphones (DYNAMIC mode) and detects and sets feedback-prone points for fixed microphones (FIXED mode). These modes can be used independently or in combination to dramatically reduce unpleasant feedback caused by sound looping from speaker to microphone.

“D-Remote” is a dedicated application for remote control of your DXR/DXS mk3 via iOS and Android devices over Bluetooth. It enables control of all parameters, including level, delay, EQ, crossover, FBS, ducker, identification, panel lock, and scene save/recall. Additionally, it monitors speaker limiting and temperature and displays error alerts. Up to ten devices can be connected simultaneously, with grouping available for unified level and mute control.

The "Drive Motion Calibration" featured in the DXR mk3 series utilises a proprietary DSP algorithm to correct speaker movement, delivering low-distortion, high-quality sound in the LF range that surpasses conventional limitations. This technology ensures that the speaker's behaviour accurately follows the input signal, enabling more linear low-frequency reproduction. As a result, it achieves outstanding reliability and acoustic performance, making it a reliable choice for a range of professional environments.

The design supports mirror placement for all models when floor-mounted, allowing symmetrical HF positioning for precise stage monitoring.

All DXR/CXR mk3 series models feature pole mount sockets with both horizontal (0°) and 7° down-angle positions, enabling focused coverage for clearer sound delivery to the audience.

Handles are fitted with rubber surfaces for improved grip and reduced heat impact, greatly enhancing comfort during transport and setup.

Optional U-brackets are available for fixed installations, supporting both vertical and horizontal mounting. Compatible with K&M wall/ceiling brackets for flexible installation.

Optional speaker covers are available for all models, protecting speakers from scratches, dust, and dirt during transport and storage, as well as from unexpected weather during outdoor performances.

Rigging points compatible with commercial eyebolts are provided, allowing flexible installation with wires and shackles.
