The 212cc, inline two-cylinder, four-stroke compact engine provides exceptional speed and acceleration for its size - delivering an ideal engine platform for small tinnies and inflatables. A new ergonomic design approach has been adopted for the tiller handle and controls of the F9.9. The handle is a more convenient length and the shift lever is now positioned on the handle itself, within easy reach, for confident control.

Cruise towards the shore with confidence thanks to Yamaha’s Shallow Water Drive system. Offering ample protection for your propeller, it allows you to get as close as you need to be, no matter whether you’re cruising a murky lake or the crystal clear shallow of the sea.

The steering bracket now has a bigger, more comfortable carrying handle built in and we’ve made storage easier too – choose the vertical position, using the special new rest-pad, or if you prefer, you can also lay the engine on its side.

Tiller handle models have tilt switch on the tiller handle, and remote control models on the steering bracket. Control functions are concentrated on multi-function tiller handle, which has shift lever, engine stop switch.
