The A.R.E. treatment (*1) has been applied to the bridge maple wood to further improve the sound quality and response. The shield cover (*2), which is mounted on both sides of the bridge for the YEV104/YEV105, remains only on the tailpiece side for the YEV104PRO/YEV105PRO. Replacement with a thinner material leaves more freedom for the bridge to move, allowing the bridge to capture delicate changes in bowing and convert them to sound. (*1) A.R.E. stands for Acoustic Resonance Enhancement, an original wood reforming technology that ages wood in a short period of time to sound like instruments that have been played for years. (*2) The shield cover is a metal cover that prevents noise generated when the instrument is connected to an amplifier or other device. It is mounted only on one side for the YEV104PRO/YEV105PRO. However, the pickup is shielded inside, so there is no problem with shielding performance.
