Based on the YEV104/YEV105 design, upgraded to specifications and appearance appropriate for high-end models. The fingerboard is also colored to look good on stage.
An electroforming tuning fork sticker is used, giving a glossy and luxurious touch deserving of the high-end model.
For the YEV104/YEV105, the chin rest fittings are silver. However, for the YEV104PRO/YEV105PRO, the color has been changed to black to match the other chin rest parts, ensuring a cohesive and unified design.
Similar to an acoustic violin, the body is crafted with a spruce top board and a maple back board. It includes slits on the side and a hollow interior, delivering a richer, more acoustic sound and quicker response.
The bridge maple wood has undergone A.R.E. treatment (*1) to enhance sound quality and response. The shield cover (*2), which is mounted on both sides of the bridge in the YEV104/YEV105, is reduced to one side for the YEV104PRO/YEV105PRO, allowing greater bridge movement for capturing delicate bowing nuances. (*1) A.R.E. stands for Acoustic Resonance Enhancement, a technology that replicates the sound of aged wood. (*2) The shield cover minimizes noise when connected to amplifiers.
The YEV104PRO/YEV105PRO features Wittner Finetune Pegs, providing precise and quick tuning, ideal for stage performances.
The YEV104PRO weighs approximately 510 grams, similar to an acoustic violin, making it 50 grams lighter than the YEV104 and ensuring a familiar playing experience.
A specially designed circuit for the YEV104PRO/YEV105PRO matches the instrument’s pickup characteristics, delivering strong bass tones regardless of external device connections or volume control settings.
