Position Overview: Assisting the Financial Manager and Financial Director with the day-to-day activities for Tuning Fork Pty Ltd. Preparing financial reporting for the company and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and control procedures.

Job Description

Reporting

• Actively participating in the month end close process including processing of period end journals.
• Prepare flash reports, monthly management accounts and accounting pack to agreed timelines.
• Preparation of quarterly Audit committee and Board Reports.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards i.e. IFRS etc.

Control

• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and ensure that it is produced as per agreed timelines.
• Ensure accuracy, correctness and completeness of financial data.

Budgets & Forecasting

• Assist Financial Director with preparation of annual budgets, in line with the business strategy and aligned with group requirements.

Business Support

• Work closely with other departments within the business to add value and financial expertise to operational decisions.

Payments

• Review monthly creditors reconciliations.
• Review and authorise payments to suppliers – local and foreign.

Minimum Requirements

• SAIPA registered would be an advantage.

Minimum Experience

• 2 – 3 years’ experience in a financial accountant position.

• In depth knowledge of IFRS, Tax Act and the Companies Act.
• Excellent people management skills.

• Strong demonstrated use of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Excellent business judgement, analytical, and decision-making skills.
