Position Overview: The Systems IT Liaison – Motor & Marine is responsible for acting as the primary link between the Motor & Marine business units and the Information Technology (IT) function. The role ensures that business requirements, operational processes, reporting needs, system enhancements, and technology solutions are effectively aligned to support business objectives.

Job Description:
Business & Systems Liaison
• Act as the primary liaison between Motor & Marine business users and the IT function.
• Gather, analyse, document, and prioritise business requirements.
• Translate business processes into functional system requirements and facilitate communication between users, vendors, and technical teams.

Business Process Analysis
• Analyse current business processes, identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for automation and system improvements.
• Recommend appropriate technology solutions.

Systems Support
• Provide functional support for business systems used within the Motor & Marine environment.
• Resolve user queries, investigate system issues, and coordinate problem resolution with IT and vendors.

Systems Enhancement
• Identify opportunities for system enhancements and process improvements.
• Prepare business cases and functional specifications for approved changes.

User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
• Develop test scenarios, coordinate user acceptance testing, validate system enhancements, document results, and ensure successful implementation before deployment.

Systems Implementation
• Support new system implementations, upgrades, integrations, and digital transformation initiatives by coordinating business activities, testing, and user readiness.

Data Management & Reporting
• Support reporting requirements by validating business data, analysing information, identifying trends, and assisting with data reconciliation and reporting improvements.

Minimum Requirements:
• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Business Analysis, Information Technology, Commerce, Computer Science, or a related field.

Minimum Experience:
• 3–5 years’ experience in a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, Systems Support, IT Liaison, or similar role.

Competencies:
• Ability to analyse data, validate information, and support business reporting requirements
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills with the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders.
