As part of a global community initiative led by Yamaha Motor Company, Japan, Yamaha Motor South Africa proudly supported a meaningful community initiative supporting grassroots football in Zambia. In partnership with ZISD FC and with the support of Yamaha Motor Company, Japan, Yamaha Motor South Africa donated 200 soccer balls to young footballers during a special handover event at the OYDC Zambia Sports Development Centre in Lusaka.

Football is more than just a game in Zambia. It is a powerful force for opportunity and personal growth. Recognising its importance in the lives of thousands of children, Yamaha Motor Company, Japan, launched this initiative to support young athletes in nurturing their skills and passion for sport, with Yamaha Motor South Africa assisting in bring the project to life locally.
The event brought together six youth teams, including both boys’ and girls’ squads, who enjoyed a day of friendly matches and teamwork. Alongside the soccer balls, participants received Yamaha-branded caps, visors, T-shirts, water bottles, and refreshments, creating a memorable experience for all involved.
