The long-awaited return of the FIM Motocross World Championship to South African soil proved to be a memorable celebration of world-class racing and the future of motocross. With thousands of spectators lining the circuit, the weekend delivered everything fans had hoped for; thrilling battles and an electric atmosphere as the world’s best riders competed for valuable championship points in both the MXGP and MX2 classes.

On track, Yamaha riders demonstrated the brand’s competitive spirit. Maxime Renaux and Tim Gajser both secured Top 10 overall finishes, underlining Yamaha’s consistency against the strongest field of the season. South African Yamaha riders including Slade Smith, Matthew Malan, Jayden Proctor, and Matthew Correia added a proud local dimension, representing home soil in front of an enthusiastic crowd.
